AMANDA H.
My love for running started in 2007. My favorite distance is 26.2.

Happy running!

AMANDA M.
I’m a mom (a daughter, age 11 and a stepson, age 11), wife, recreation coordinator, runner, hiker, and an all-around outdoor enthusiast! My favorite distance to run is the half marathon (I’ve currently run 68 half marathons). I love all TCMA events! I love the themed events like the St. Paddy’s Day Run, the Independence Day 5k, Tacoma City Turkey Trot, and Santa Runs Tacoma b because so many people are dressed up and in the spirit! But Tacoma City Marathon also holds a very special place in my heart; my now husband proposed at the finish line!

ASHLEY
I love to run. I have been running TCMA races since their first race in 2007. I’m inching towards the completion of my 100th marathon distance or longer race (this will hopefully happen in 2023). I am a mom of two kids ages 5 and 3. I love to run the 5k races that TCMA puts on with my kids, but my favorite distance would have to be the marathon and my favorite race would be the Tacoma City Marathon.

CANDIS
I started my running journey in 2020. The half marathon distance is my favorite to run because it challenges both my endurance and speed. My favorite TCMA race is the Wicked Fast 5k because I love seeing everyone’s costumes! When I’m not running, I’m probably either listening to true crime podcasts, reading, or trying new foods at local restaurants.

CHRISTIN
Taking up running 13 years ago was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made because I’m completely in love with the sport. The 5k is my favorite distance to race. My favorite TCMA event is the Defiance 15k. When I’m not running, I work as a healthcare professional. Other interests are hiking, photography, baking, and banana slugs.

DOMINIQUE
I am a physical education teacher in the Tacoma area, where I also share my love for running through coaching cross country and track & field. My running career began in high school when I competed in cross country and track & field. I continued my track & field career at Eastern Washington University as a triple jumper and heptathlete. After graduation, I began distance running again to stay in shape and find community. My favorite distance to race is the 5k and my favorite TCMA race is the Turkey Trot!

JAMIE
I am a runner, nurse and single mom of two teenage boys. I have been running for 12 years now. I have completed 38 marathons and will be running my 7th Boston marathon in April. I also love trail running and have ran several ultras. I am part titanium now due to a broken hip two years ago so I am still working on getting back to pre-broken hip running shape. I don’t know what I would do without running.

JESS
I’m a married mom of 3 active kids and have been racing in mostly long-distance races since 2016! My dogs love to help me train and my kids join in sometimes, too! My absolute favorite distance is the half marathon and I’m working on a goal to someday complete my 100th half. Ironically though, my favorite race is the Independence Day 5k…it always gets the 4th of July festivities off to a great start!

LADD
#FamilieWolfeAdventures! Whether it’s snow shoeing, kayaking, or our weekly runs together, activities like running bring our family together. We cherish those times. Favorite place to run: Along a river in the mountains of Switzerland, the ancient streets of Venice, or absorbing the cheers of the crowds in Berlin; running has brought me joy AND adventure.

RICHARD
I’m a retired Navy veteran that fell in love with running while on active duty. I ran my first 1/2 marathon in Guam, my first marathon in Tokyo and my first and only 50k in Florida. My motto for running is: Run hard, have fun, finish strong, get a cool finisher medal, REPEAT!

TREVOR
I grew up competing in track & field and threw at Eastern Washington University. After finishing college athletics, I found running as an outlet for my competitiveness and a way to build community. After my wife and I relocated to the Tacoma area, we were able to quickly build community through running events and a local running group. I love the atmosphere at races and watching people accomplish goals they have been working towards and am looking forward to a great year full of races.

WILL
Aging athlete staying competitive through running and raising money for Alzheimer’s and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. I have a goal of running a half marathon in all 50 states (I have a lot of work to do). My 11-year-old son very occasionally runs a 5k with me, which makes me very happy!
