ALEXIS

I’m a married, masters runner, and a toddler mom. You’ll likely see me running around Tacoma, as it’s my favorite pastime. I love marathon training, but enjoy racing all distances. I believe it’s never too late to chase your dreams!

ALLISON

Howdy! I’m Allison. My very first race was the 2016 Santa Runs Tacoma 10K, and this year I will be taking on my first marathon! Falling in love with running has led me to new friends, prioritizing “me time,” and learning important things like how to compete with myself instead of other people. When not out training, you can probably find me tinkering with a recipe or searching for the best al pastor in the Puget Sound.

AMANDA H.

My love for running started in 2007. My ultimate goal was to qualify for the Boston Marathon (2023 will be my 11th Boston Marathon) and my favorite distance is 26.2. I have a couple goals; one is to run a marathon in all 50 states by age 50 (I am currently on state 34) and also to complete all the majors. I have two beautiful adult daughters and a boy Pug and you will often find me running with my high school sweetheart and hubby of 28 years.

AMANDA M.

Hi, I’m Amanda. I’m a single mom to a young teenage daughter, a recreation professional by day, natural-born non-runner turned costume runner by free time. I started running in 2011, participating in mud runs and fun-themed 5k’s. Along the way, I fell in love with running and especially the running community. I’ve since run 74 half marathons, 24 marathons, 3 ultra marathons, and countless other distances. I’m not fast, but I have fun! Dressing in costume not only gives me a creative outlet but also makes so many people smile along the course, which I love!

ANGELA

I’m Angela Jones, I started running at 55 years old in 2015 from couch potato 0.0 miles to an ultra 50k in 2018.  I’m in the process of completing a half marathon in each of the 50 states and my goal is to run a marathon in Athens, Greece, where the first marathon was run. I’m a wife, mother of 1, grandmother (Nana) of 6 and great grandmother of 6, who is looking forward to making more running buddies along the way!

BRIDGETTE

My name is Brigette and I went from 0.0 to 26.2 in a year and a half! I am beyond excited to be a first-time TCMA Ambassador.  When I’m not busy orchestrating the family life of 5 active children, I enjoy training for and running half and full marathons with my husband. I believe that if I can make it happen, others can be encouraged to do the same and I want to support their journey.

CANDIS

Hey! My name is Candis and I’ve been running since 2020. I used to be the person that tried to cheat on the mile physical fitness test in high school and believed I could never run for more than a minute. 2 marathons and countless half marathons later, I can definitely say I’ve grown to believe that we are more capable and stronger than we may think! When I’m not running, I’m either checking out new food spots, reading mystery books, baking, or listening to true crime podcasts!

My 12 year old did cross country this year and that inspired me to apply to be an ambassador! I want to encourage our young people to get out and exercise!

TREVOR

I am a 26 year old, former collegiate athlete that found running as a way to continue to push myself and compete. Through running, I have found community and continue to be involved in the community in group runs, coaching high school track, and mentoring adult training groups. I love setting long term goals such as half and full marathons and the weekly and daily process of building up to race day and tracking my progress. There are few things I enjoy as much as the atmosphere at races and being surrounded by hundreds or thousands of nervous runners all focused on achieving their own goals alongside one another.
